been playing with the djm 600 for a while but decided to buy the 800 instead. well what can i say, hook it up digitally with some cdj-1000's the sound quality is absolutely unbelievable. the cfx are an amazing add on with sweep and crush being my favorite. there is also a filter colour effect which give you much greater control over it than the normal beat effect they also have on it. the digital display makes usability even better in the dark and with the tap button now added you can get some cheeky transform scratches when messing about! pioneer comes through again with one of the best mixers on the market!

what can i say best of the best got it with my technics mk5g's and my cdj 1000mk3 what a setup might have to go for the efx 1000 next pioneer doign what they do best!

Previously owned an Allen & Heath X:One 92, got bored of that, moved on to DJM600, got bored of that and decided to go for the DJM800... I thought long and hard about upgrading from the DJM600 to this but in the end it has proven to be well worth it. The sound quality is fantastic with analogue connections and if you use digital connections e.g. with CDJ1000's/800's it's frankly unbelievable. all fx seem to be much improved - the display is so much better for this, you can now see what you're doing easily in dark clubs etc, the new colour fx are wicked - the filter being my favourite - very similiar to that of the allen and heath mixers. haven't used as a midi controller yet but will do eventually. this is a mixer that will make you smile...constantly...when using!!!

I PURCHASED PIONEER DJM800 LAST FEBRUARY,AS SOON AS IT WAS AVAILABLE,AND IT HAS BECOME THE BEST GRAND IV EVER SPENT!IT's such a sophisticated mixer, which has ease of use and fantastic functionabilty!i use mine with two numark cdx's,linked through the digital outputs,which produces fantastic sound.the effects are amazing,which are easy to use and to control with a wet and dry option.there is a l.c.d display to show which effect is being used and the beat that is being provided.i love the phaser and the filter is sublime!the sound colour effects are another welcome treat,there's filter, harmonic{which makes pigs squeal},sweep and crush!the crossfader is correct and has curve adjust for different dj styles!i have yet to use my djm800 as a midi controller,but that is next step as i am still a novice dj. all in all the djm800 is a fabulous mixer which has and still does provides me with hours of class entertainment!i'd recomend this to any type of aspiring dj, go and break the bank and purchase one of these bad boys! you wont be disappointed, thanks pioneer, 10/10.
