Fantastic, but, lets not get carried away. These are to djing what Aston Martin is to James Bond or Joey Negro is to weired clothes....its not the same without. Thing is, these decks are fantastic but there is far more competition than there used to be. Technics need to be a little more price competitive. I think they are relying on past glories. There are many decks out there that are equally as good, and for less than half the price. Technics are a DJ institution, and that is what you are really paying for. Still, they are my prefered decks any day of the week, but, if any of you budding DJ's out there are looking to start out, dont think you have to splash out on a pair of these. there is some good competition out there.

Ok lets get one thing correct, other turntables that diss Technics really have no clue what there going on about, the fact that there are companys trying there hardest to compete with Technics is just pathetic honestly. Technics just have that certain feel and easy usage to use them aswell as being the best and original. Sure there might be turntables out there that have reverse, 5KG torque. Really why would you need 5KG of torque :-S All i am going to say is technics are the original the best and are the stringest decks i have ever been on lol. Peace Monkey Man

Technics are untouchable. Simple as that. I had a set of mk2s and a a+h mixer a few years back when i played around a few clubs with a mate, sold up and travelled. I met up with the same guy recently and decided to pay it forward for another set to get back into it. No bull i can guarantee the boys at djss has my order sunday and i was playing on the tuesday. If your serious about your djing you cant be serious about any other decks. Forget bpm counters etc gimmick gimmick market 99.9% of clubs have these because they last forever and are quite simply better. Go in prepared and proud. Peace.

I've jst recently bought another pair of the mk2s' as my others were looking a little worn.... thats it... a little worn, some of the paint had come off where the pitch control is and the lids have a few surface scratches on them - there was no performance issues what-so-ever with them - they worked like a dream... anyways - i sold them to another budding dj for a good price and used the money to put towards a new pair. my missus thought it was a pointless move and other may think so too - but if you look at it this way; a mate of mine got a pair of 1210's for a good price and i got a brandnew pair for an even better price. we all win ;) technics till i die !!!

I bought my pair of 1210's from dj superstore about 3-4 years ago, they still work as perfectly as they did the day i bought them, not so much as even a blown target light bulb. hardly surprising these are still the industry standard, the benchmark all turntables are compared to and found in virtually every club across the country.

If you don't know already, these dex are awesome! flawless in their performance, indestructable build quality and still as stylish as back in the eightees. vestax may have more pointless features than technics, but they just don't feel as good. there is no substitute of the 1200 series!
