Very basic but cheap, small and light. very portable when in the numark flightcase. Pitch control is nice and accurate and the jog wheel is better in my opinion than using the pitch up/down buttons found on some cd players. Go for the CDMIX2 is you want to do anything more than simple fading though as it has 3 band EQ per side and seemless looping which opens up a few more options when mixing. Build quality is ok, sliders and knobs are solid enough for reasonable use. All i would say is that the 'all in one' system is a risk as if one oart fails the whole thing fails, and that's not good when you are in the middle of a gig with no back ups! inside they are put together like a cheap toy and when you open one up you wonder how you ever dared to take it on the road without a spare! mine had a loose ribbon cable which connects the circuit boards of the mixer and cd controls which caused all sorts of strange things to happen, all because numark where skipming on parts. a plastic cable wedge was missing (only at one end of the cable mind you) and instead it was glued and come loose over time. if this is your first cd mixing experiecnce then get one btu get the flightcase and avoid too many bumps. they are good at what they do for the money but i just don't trust them. if you can afford it and don't mind the extra bulk, go for seperates instead.

I found this product very annoyfirstly the play button has a delay on press. Also i found that there was no pitch bend buttons.(there is a shuttle wheel but thats all and the responce is too fast for pich bending a track back on beat. infact it totally destroys your mixing when using the shuttle wheel. Overall i think im going back to a laptop and a numark dmc1 controler its much faster and the pitchspan goes to 50% not 12 hahahahaha. Ohh 1 more thing the fader is a cheepo my little sony first toy fader. NOT ADVISED FOR REAL MIX DJ's

this is a great pice of kit, i got it about a year ago and ive never found beat mixing and genuraly playing music so easy!!! my advise is why pay thousands of pounds on top of the range equpiment when you can buy this excellent pice of equipment for half the price. easy to transport sounds great what more could you want!!!!!!!!!!!
