I Understand The Comments From The Other Dj's who review these carts but it is a bit harsh in what they say...yes they dont track as well as a ortofon but they sound shed loads better in every way than any other cart on the market as i played all the carts on the market on my 20k system and the trackmasters came up trumps with brilliant highs punchy mid and big bass but with a slight bit of colouration...as to the other dj saying he went back to 505's...wow....what-a-mistake-a-to make-a! the 505's sound pants compared. another advantage with the trackmasters is if you knock the needle across your vinyl they dont muller it! try that with an ortofon! when i listened to a shure cart, it was a massive disappointment it had no mid at all! but very good highs and massive bass it just sounded woolly with a slight bit more tracking than the trackmaster...why this is the favorite with the hip hop boyz i dont know when even a bottom of the range ortofon cart would destroy it in every way....lets hope their choice in womem isnt as bad otherwise ann widdecombe would have a lot of admires in the hip hop world? as for ortofon they add the least colouration to the sound of all the carts with a natural balanced with good highs,punchy mids and solid bass and track the best by miles and have no problems in cueing jump and dont pick up pop's in records as much as the eliptical trackmasters. pick ya weapon if you like scratching go for ortofon if you want sound quality go for trackmasters

I Concur With The Above Rating....They Are Very Poor Carts. There Seems To Be An Awful Lot Of High Distortion, Bass Distortion And Hardly Any Mid Sounds. Also, They Do Not Hold The Groove At All, Even With As Much Weight As A Technic1200 Can Apply Normally, Without Added Weights. They Also Skip Across The Vinyl And Are Very Difficult To Cue Without Losing The Position. I Have Tried Both Sets Of Stylus And Rotated Them On Each Deck.....Both As Bad As Each Other. Worst Carts I Have Ever Come Across. I Am Now Having To Use A Back Up Pair Of Stanton 505Al Copies, Which Outperform The Rs Models At Every Level....

Brought These From Djsuperstore (Greate Service) But Beware, They Are A Nightmare To Setup Properly And I Stil Have One Of The Carts That Pops And Click All Over The Place. Even If I Change Needles With The Other Thats Fine. I Have Swapped The Cart Between Turntables And Still The Pops And Click Continue And This Is The Second Cart The First I Sent Back!. I'm going to bin them (yes £150 down the drain!!!!!) but i simpy cannot put up with them anymore. i will replace them get a pair of ortofons (which i had before and never ever had any problems with them at all).
